"A work of art" in itself, the Alexis Hotel is committed to the Seattle arts community and displays original pieces throughout its richly decorated guestrooms and public spaces, showcasing the diversity and culture that is distinctive to the Pacific Northwest.

Seasonal Exhibitions
The Alexis "Art Walk" features art exhibits by local artists. The exhibit rotates every quarter and features various mediums. In addition to the "Art Walk", the quarterly exhibitions feature works in the Gallery room as well as the Hotel Lobby.

Our Curator
Barbara Shaiman, artistic and managing director of the Seattle Art Museum's Rental and Sales Gallery, is curator for the Alexis Hotel's art exhibitions. The hotel's rotating art exhibitions can be found throughout the public spaces and along the "Art Walk," a hallway dedicated to fine art. Barbara is an independent curator and a successful ceramic artist and has had her work exhibited across the country.
